Samaipata is an early stage founders' fund investing in tech businesses with network effects across Europe. As of 2024 the firm manages €150M in assets and has invested in over 40 European startups. 

Samaipata was founded in 2016 by two entrepreneurs, José del Barrio and Eduardo Díez-Hochleitner. José was the co-founder and CEO of the leading food-delivery platform in Spain (La Nevera Roja) which sold for $100 million. Eduardo was founder of a 3D sound system sold to Dolby (IMM Sound), former partner at Apax Partners, a prolific business angel and executive, most recently Chairman at MásMóvil, the first Southern European Decacorn. 

Since our inception, we have strengthened our team with world-class talent in the investment squad as well as operations, founder success and growth. We are a remote-first company with team members distributed across Europe.
